Perry Lake is North of I-70 between Topeka and Lawrence.  The public wildlife area encompasses almost 11,000 acres of prime hunting ground for whitetail deer and turkey.  There is also about 1,000 acres of marshes, making it a perfect place to watch or hunt waterfowl.  The reservoir is well known for its excellent crappie and channel cat fishing but also offers a variety of water-related activities like swimming and boating.
