Hunting at Apple Valley Farm
The Northeast corner of the state is characterized by heavily timbered, rocky hillsides and small croplands. It provides excellent whitetail deer and turkey hunting. Apple Valley Farm is no exception. We have about 60 acres of private hunting that is perfect for a family hunt or small group to enjoy. The property is adjacent to a section of Perry Lake public wildlife area that is open to hunting. While we do not claim to be the biggest we do promise that our land is managed well and set up to attract birds and deer and provide you with a fun and safe place to hunt and relax. One of our most attractive features is you can walk right off the porch of The Hideaway and hunt – no shuttles, no driving necessary! The best part is our rates are within the average person’s budget too!
We have 10 deer stands (4 of which are mobile), 2 – 4’X8’ blinds for deer or turkey, and other natural blinds strategically placed on the property. Stay on our land and hunt for a fee or walk onto Perry wildlife area for free hunting.

Deer:
The highest whitetail densities are in the eastern one-third of Kansas. Whitetails have adapted well to Kansas’ modern landscape, finding cover in natural woodlands, shelterbelts, old homesteads and grasslands, and abundant food in cropfields. The management program has created excellent potential for trophy-sized bucks in this region.
